The Grand Strand Family YMCA is a United Way Agency

The Grand Strand Family YMCA is a social service agency that reaches out and affects the lives of people throughout Horry and Georgetown Counties. Its purpose is to help people grow in spirit, mind, and body so they may achieve their full potential and improve the quality of life for themselves, their family, and their community. Strengthened by national YMCA standards and backed by training, the YMCA offers programs that help children develop values like sportsmanship, compassion, and respect for self and others; promote positive behavior in teens; provide support for families so they can be strong and successful; and encourage healthier lifestyles for all people. The YMCA's goal is to develop individuals that contribute to a safer, more viable community, that is a good place to live and work. YMCA programs are available to people of all ages,backgrounds, abilities, and incomes.

Our fitness center is state of the art, focusing on not only health, but also spiritual well being, in a relaxed safe atmosphere, with excellent clientele, who are always willing to lend a helping hand and encourage each other. Our sports programs are designed with everyone in mind and coached by caring volunteers and staff. We are very proud of our Y policy of" everyone plays, everyone wins". Everyone is a star at the YMCA.
